Small Backyard Project

Our new house came with a "small" backyard project. Nothing like a backyard full of rocks! We have plans to eventually put a patio on the 2nd level but are excited to have "Phase 1" done of planting grass for the boys to enjoy playing on this summer. Caleb was so cute - once the first section of grass was laid he immediately took his shoes off and ran around on it. Thank you to my amazing husband who worked like crazy to lay the grass in the heat of summer. We also had lots of help from friends in getting rid of the rock to begin with - we were even able to donate the rocks to a local charity for a driveway - go figure! I hope to have pics of the finished yard to post in a year or so! :) Now you can join us in praying for rain!

Father's Day

Okay, I'll try to catch up on pics here. Just downloaded over 100 from the past couple of weeks. We'll start with Father' Day. We had a nice Sunday with family. My attempts to get photos of Scott with the kids was laughable. The ones in front of our fireplace make me laugh b/c I totally did not notice the stars "attached" to the boys heads - my little angels. :) Scott is just the best daddy to his kids. The boys have really been loving their daddy time lately since I am a bit tied up with Leah. Scott is such a hard worker and lately has been working very hard to turn our complete rock yard into a back yard for the kids - the day after Father's Day he spent the entire day laying sod in the yard. We are doing our best to keep it alive in this heat and Aaron prays for rain every day - the boys are already really enjoying it! Some pics to come of that.

Week 2

Caleb helping Cory hang stuff in the nursery...
Evie & Leah with the super cute letters Evie did for over the crib. I decorated Leah for the pic.
Yes, we have crib, just on the other wall. :) This will be what Leah's room looks like for a while!
Cute bow holder also made by Aunt Evie. Scott didn't even know such a thing existed.

Cute even with a thrush tongue!

Mommy's little helper!

We have been doing pretty good - just taking it one day at a time. In the last couple of days Leah has gotten her very first "real" bath - the first time she didn't scream through the entire thing either. The boys have been quite the helpers - always interested in Leah so of course they were right there for the bath experience. Caleb has been quite the helper and we have discovered that he loves to help with the laundry. This comes in really handy since the boy's dirty clothes are way too low and far back for me to get out just yet so Caleb did the whole thing for me with a smile on his face. :) Now if I can only teach him to sort... Leah's nursery is shaping up - much with the help of Uncle Cory and Aunt Evie who are far more crafty than me - I apparently don't even own a hot glue gun! We have enjoyed having them in town this month and are way excited to have them moving just an hour away. Leah continues to be a great little sleeper and all around sweet baby - only fusses when there is a reason. She had her 2 week check up & is up to 6.6 pounds! She has been sweet even with a case of "thrush" which we think/hope is on the mend. We are so blessed and so very happy.

New Design

I thought I'd go pink this month is honor of Leah's arrival. Also thought it might be time to put some updated pics of our children on the header. I consider this my accomplishment of the morning and probably the day. We're taking it one day at time and doing pretty good ~

Week 1

We have since learned not to sleep with bows ...
She is so stinkin' cute when she wakes up in the mornings ...

And when she falls asleep - which is a lot of the time ...

wow - we have 3 kids! and three it will be!

He really is just so happy with her. Although he now wants a 2nd baby brother!

Love her in purple and in pink!

First bath - pink hooded towels are a new sight in our house.

This is a premie size outfit.

Caleb's first time to hold her.

Caleb making sure we give him plenty of attention too.

Still have not gotten a good family of five shot...

Aaron decorated for Leah's arrival home with some help from Nana.

Going home - I get to keep this pasty, pale look for a while according to the doctors...

Wow! Hard to believe one week has already passed since we brought our sweet baby girl home! Week one has been pretty good, we feel. Leah is an absolute doll and taking it easy on us thus far. She had her one week check up and has already regained her birth weight so I am guessing that today she has probably crossed on over to the 6 pounds mark. I hestitate to even write this so I don't jinx us but last night seh slept for 7 1/2 straight hours... We have been blessed with lots of help at the house and lots of food. :) I don't think will have to cook a meal until July! The boys have done really great. Aaron is the proudest big brother in the world and wants to hold Leah several times a day. Caleb has warmed up nicely to her and now also want to hold his "sissy" quite a bit. He has kept us busy with his two-year-old ways but has not really acted out much and has also been great with Leah. I am ready for the day when I can pick him up again though - 4+ weeks to go on that one! All in all, we feel so very blessed to be home and doing so well and just head over heels in love with our little girl.
