It's a GIRL!

Well, at least the doctor is 99.9% sure it is a girl. We are still in a bit of disbelief but so very excited! Aaron is super excited and got to be the first to know and also tell both sets of grandparents at the same time that "It's a baby sister!" When I asked Caleb this morning if he wanted a baby sister or a baby brother, he answered "no." An exciting day for us - happy the baby looks healthy. We will have another sono in 8 weeks to check on some things and maybe this girl thing will sink in by then. :) The pic attached is for all you that keep insisting some sort of belly shot be posted. Okay, off to search around for all the girlie things we don't own. Maybe also for a name...

Weekend Review

Aaron loved the foam pit!
Glad to have Uncle Cory to help out with the rope swing.

Caleb preferred to have someone to jump with him - Aunt Evie to the rescue!

That would be Caleb's "Peschel tongue" hanging out like it does when focusing on anything important - like jumping ...

Birthday girl Alayna knew just what to do!

We had a busy weekend traveling to Temple for Alayna's 2nd birthday. Her party was at a gymnastics gym, completely padded walls with lots of stuff for kids to jump on - perfect for a 2-year-old birthday party! We also were able to visit my grandparents in Waco. My Pa has been in the hospital since undergoing brain surgery last Saturday - it was good to see him again, although he has quite the recovery to go. Hard times right now so I will post fun pics from the party instead. :)

Boy or Girl?

We have our 20-week sonogram a week from today and are very excited to find out if this baby on the way is a boy or girl. Mostly we just look forward to seeing a strong heartbeat and hoping everything else is progressing smoothly. Aaron is super excited about finding out the gender - we think we have him prepared either way so hopefully he won't be too upset if it is the not the baby sister he really wants and call this baby already. We shall see - feel free to render your guess too!

At 19 Months?

Okay - not that I think anything will come of it, but Caleb officially used the potty 3 times yesterday! It started when I picked him up from "school" and he teachers said that he got fussy so they asked him if he needed to go to the potty and he said "yes!" They sat him and down and he went! At home, I sat him down twice and he went a little each time. Still goes in his diaper plenty and I fully expect for him to be three like his brother was before being potty trained. But it's fun that his first official success was at 19 months! I am not planning to put much effort into it this early in the game, but if he wants to go he knows where his potty is. Expect me to be blogging in about 2 years about how we have finally mastered potty training. :)

"Best Camp Out Ever"

With all the cold weather this week (that is only going to get worse), the boys were getting a bit stir crazy this morning. Solution: make a tent with sheets and play camp out inside the house. Santa got the boys their own sleeping bags for Christmas so that combined with the marshmallows we "roasted" over our pretend campfire inspired Aaron to have me call Scott at work so he could tell daddy all about, ending with "Mommy made the best camp out ever!!!" Totally worth the mess!
